Roni grew up in central Illinois and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Bradley University before attending Drake University Law School. After graduating from law school, Roni served as a law clerk on the Iowa Supreme Court for two years. Upon completion of his clerkship, Roni joined a prominent law firm in Davenport, Iowa and developed his private practice for approximately ten years before leaving to work for Wells Fargo Bank in Cedar Rapids. Roni spent 14 years with Wells Fargo handling commercial loan workout matters where he reviewed and evaluated financial and legal risks of nonperforming commercial credit relationships, restructured credits and negotiated resolutions, and formulated litigation strategies. Since leaving Wells Fargo Bank, Roni has been reestablishing his legal practice and deepening his connections and involvement in the Cedar Rapids community. Roni and his family are long-time members of St. Jude Parish and Xavier Catholic Schools. Roni’s extended family members include small business owners who have resided in Cedar Rapids for more than 40 years. In his spare time, Roni enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children’s athletic events, volunteering, traveling, and gardening.
