Dana A. Judas
I am a first-generation college student who understands the value of hard work and dedication. I believe my ability to empathize with my clients allows me to see their legal case both compassionately and objectively.
I grew up in Waterloo, Iowa and went to the University of Iowa. I received my Bachelor of Arts in 2010 where I majored in English and graduated with honors. In 2014, I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in May and was admitted to practice in September.
In May of 2019, I joined Nazette, Marner, Nathanson & Shea, LLP, where I focus on areas of family law, including divorce, custody, and No Contact Orders. I also offer mediation services. Prior to joining Nazette, Marner, Nathanson & Shea LLP, I practiced primarily family law at another Cedar Rapids firm.
One thing that sets me apart is my capacity to engage with clients who have varied and complex legal issues on a personal level. I come from a blended family, so I have personal experience with the kinds of cases I take. I thrive on personal interaction and do my best to put my clients at ease. It is one thing to listen to someone; it is quite another to hear someone. My strength lies in the balance of understanding when to be soft and when to be strong. Each situation is unique, and should be treated at such. No two cases are ever alike. I am attentive and believe a strong and professional connection to clients not only puts them at ease, but ensures they feel properly represented.
When not in the office, I enjoy running Ragnar races, spending time with my dogs, Oscar, Charlie, and Louie, and forcing my husband to go on adventures around the world.
